Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive floor cleaning tasks including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore floors to their optimal condition.
• Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers to ensure efficient maintenance.
• Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals and chemical agents safely according to manufacturer instructions and environmental standards.
• Conduct heavy lifting when moving furniture or equipment during routine cleaning or special projects.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors in high-traffic areas by performing regular custodial services such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning.
• Execute specialized services like carpet cleaning and floor refinishing to prolong surface lifespan and improve aesthetics.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleanliness standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services with a focus on commercial cleaning or environmental services preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, carpet cleaning, and floor refinishing.
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols related to chemical agent handling.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy objects, moving furniture, or operating heavy-duty cleaning machinery.
• Familiarity with the use of various floor cleaning chemicals and understanding of environmental health standards.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Good communication skills coupled with a customer service mindset to ensure positive interactions with clients and team members.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
