AUTO BODY MAN

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Body Man to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality body repairs, structural restorations, and cosmetic enhancements on a variety of vehicles. Your expertise in auto body repair techniques, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of safety and appearance. Duties

• Perform automotive structural repairs using MIG welding, soldering, and other welding repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and panels.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive painting equipment to prepare surfaces for refinishing and detailing.
• Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal fabrication, auto restoration, and cosmetic touch-ups to achieve a flawless finish.
• Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision and care.
• Apply automotive refinishing techniques including auto painting with airless paint spraying systems and auto body refinishing for a professional look.
• Use auto estimating skills to assess damages accurately and determine necessary repairs; collaborate with team members on complex projects.
• Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks as needed, including heavy lifting and assembly work to ensure safety and efficiency in all repair processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto repair role; dealership experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair techniques, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and automotive welding equipment operation.
• Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive parts installation.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and auto painting equipment for detailed cosmetic repairs.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship; familiarity with auto restoration projects is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
