Job Description: Quality Engineer/Inspectors
QARMS is seeking several highly experienced, skilled Quality Engineer/Inspectors to work on-site at JSC in Houston, TX. The selected engineers/inspectors will support mandatory quality inspections, procurement quality processes, and investigate and determine root causes of product failures as requested.
Work Location: Houston, TX, Johnson Space Center (JSC)
Responsibilities:
· Application of technical expertise to troubleshoot electronic designs down to root cause(s) of failure
· Interpretation of schematics and quality requirements
· Collaboration with other engineers and cross-functional resources as required
· Leadership in the preparation, review, and approval of specific quality documents. These documents shall include, but are not be limited to manufacturing procedures, drawings, procurement specifications, Qualification Test Procedures (QTP), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents, program quality plans, special process procedures, and training documents
· Generation of procedures and controls required to ensure that all quality requirements are met
· Coordination and drive to closure cross-functional reviews of issues, incoming material inspections, and Quality Issue Tracker (QIT) for customer reported field issues
· Evaluation of requirements for inspection equipment, tooling, and/or test equipment to meet specifications
· Monitoring of inspection and functional test data
· Participation in compliance and process audits, both internal and external
Minimum Qualifications:
· MUST HAVE NASA EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of four years of electronic quality experience
· Analog and digital circuit understanding
· Solid understanding of marketing requirements, regulatory standards, and customer use cases
· Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 4 or more years related experience (electronics manufacturing environment preferred) or 10 years related experience.
