Teacher/Group Supervisor
Position Type: Full-Time | Up to 32–40 Hours Per Week
Compensation: Pay is based on education, experience, leadership ability, flexibility, and completion of required clearances and documentation.

Position Overview
Quality and Kreative Kids Childcare Center is seeking a dependable, flexible, and professional Teacher Supervisor / Group Supervisor to support the daily operations of our childcare center and provide leadership within the classroom environment.
This position is ideal for an experienced childcare professional who can effectively supervise staff, maintain classroom structure, support compliance with Pennsylvania childcare regulations, and adapt to the changing operational needs of a growing childcare center.
The Teacher Supervisor plays a key leadership role by ensuring children receive care in a safe, nurturing, structured, and developmentally appropriate environment while also supporting staff accountability, communication, and program implementation.
Reliability, consistency, professionalism, teamwork, and flexibility are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise daily classroom operations and maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios at all times
- Provide leadership and guidance to teachers, teacher assistants, aides, floaters, and support staff
- Support classroom structure, transitions, and behavior management
- Ensure classrooms remain safe, organized, and developmentally appropriate
Program & Curriculum Support
- Assist with lesson plan implementation and classroom activities
- Ensure daily schedules, educational activities, and routines are followed consistently
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Help maintain engaging learning environments for infants through preschool-aged children
Staff Support & Communication
- Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing needs, classroom coverage, incidents, and operational concerns
- Support team collaboration and professionalism among staff members
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and solution-oriented work environment
- Assist with onboarding support and staff guidance when needed
Family Engagement
- Maintain professional communication with parents and guardians
- Utilize Brightwheel and center communication systems appropriately
- Support parent engagement activities and center events
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all DHS/OCDEL and PA Code Title 55 Chapter 3270 regulations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures
- Monitor and report incidents, illnesses, injuries, and classroom concerns
- Assist during licensing visits, audits, and inspections
Operational Support
- Assist with classroom coverage based on center operational needs
- Support inventory management and supply organization
- Assist with CACFP/Food Program procedures and meal documentation
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in a childcare center or early childhood setting
- Ability to meet DHS/OCDEL Group Supervisor qualifications
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Flexible availability based on center operational needs
Preferred
- CDA, Associate Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in childcare
- Experience with Brightwheel or childcare management software
- Knowledge of PA childcare licensing regulations
