Lead Preschool Teacher / Group Supervisor

About the Position

As our Lead Preschool Teacher (Group Supervisor), you will lead a preschool classroom, create engaging learning experiences, build strong relationships with families, and help establish the culture of Little Luminaries Prep.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, creative, dependable, and genuinely loves working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards.
• Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Maintain daily communication with families through Brightwheel.
• Complete observations, assessments, and required documentation.
• Supervise classroom routines and transitions.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Ensure compliance with all Pennsylvania DHS licensing regulations.
• Collaborate with administration and support staff.
• Help create a positive school culture as a founding team member.

Qualifications

Required

• Must meet Pennsylvania Group Supervisor qualifications.
• Experience teaching preschool-aged children (3–5 years old).
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check.
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
• CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).

Preferred

• CDA, Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Experience using Brightwheel or similar childcare management software.

Schedule

Full-Time

Monday–Friday

Typical hours between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (schedule may vary slightly based on program needs).

Pay: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
