The role: Collections Manager (Future Operations Leader)
Quality Acceptance seeks a visionary Collections Manager to lead the evolution from traditional collections to a digital-first, analytics-powered operation.
This is an opportunity to work closely with company ownership and play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, technology adoption, and team development across U.S. and Mexico operations.
We’re looking for a leader who sees beyond manual calling and understands that the future of collections lies in data, machine learning, and behavioral analytics.
You’ll help mentor teams, implement AI-assisted workflows, and design operational systems that connect people, data, and performance in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor collection teams in the U.S. and Mexico, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Implement data-driven collection strategies supported by analytics, automation, and virtual agents
- Develop and refine recovery models using machine learning insights and behavioral scoring
- Collaborate directly with ownership and executive management on growth strategy and KPIs
- Integrate technology tools for smarter communication across voice, chat, email, and SMS
- Manage bad-debt portfolio operations, optimize recovery rates, and identify performance trends
- Support the establishment of Quality Acceptance’s joint venture servicing and recovery platform
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state collection regulations (FDCPA, CFPB, Reg F, etc.)
Qualifications
Required:
- Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- 5 years of experience in consumer or auto collections, with 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of digital collection systems, analytics tools, and workflow automation
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities
- Proven ability to interpret data and drive performance improvement across multiple teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
Preferred:
- Experience with AI or machine learning tools in the collections industry
- Background in portfolio acquisition, servicing, or joint ventures
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Data Analytics
- Prior leadership in offshore or cross-border team operations
