Position Summary

We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to support the startup and ongoing operation of a new aerospace manufacturing facility in Crestview, Florida. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization during the construction and launch phase of a 1 million square foot manufacturing complex. The ideal candidate will have a strong facilities engineering background with experience supporting manufacturing operations, infrastructure projects, facility expansions, and capital improvements.

This position will work closely with site leadership, engineering teams, contractors, and executive management to ensure facility readiness, operational efficiency, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update existing plant layouts and facility documentation.
• Design and implement future facility layout improvements based on manufacturing requirements.
• Manage facility related projects including:
• Infrastructure system improvements
• Building demolition projects
• Manufacturing cell relocations
• Facility expansion planning
• Equipment and machine installations and relocations
• Coordinate contractors performing work on site and communicate project objectives, schedules, and expectations.
• Support inspections and preventative maintenance programs for building systems and life safety equipment.
• Oversee the handling and disposal of hazardous and non hazardous chemicals and waste materials.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities, audits, and record keeping to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Partner with executive leadership and cross functional teams to maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools to track project status and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Perform additional technical, administrative, and operational duties as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of facilities engineering, manufacturing engineering, construction, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of facility infrastructure systems including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience managing facility improvement and capital projects.
• Ability to read and interpret building drawings, blueprints, and machine specifications.
• Experience using CAD software. NX CAD is preferred, but AutoCAD or similar platforms will be considered.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting manufacturing or aerospace facilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction methodologies, building codes, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations including EPA, RCRA, DOT, and related compliance requirements.
• Experience with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, or Siemens NX.
• PMP or other project management certification.
