Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Duties:
- Evaluate current and future needs for hardware, raw materials, and outside services.
- Work with current vendors to consolidate purchases and lower annual spend.
- Seek out new potential vendors to diversify the supply chain.
- Work with the Engineering & Estimating Department to source new components during the quoting phase and follow through into production. Ensure availability, pricing, and lead times are communicated to all relevant parties.
- Work with production to expedite shipments when needed.
- Assist in Supplier Development, product categorizing, and monitoring metrics.
- Other duties as required.
Experience:
- 5 years’ experience in sourcing and/or purchasing for manufacturing.
- Strong computer skills. Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Understanding of ERP systems, Bill of Materials, Work Orders, and MRP.
- Experience sourcing sheet metal and assembly hardware a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $800.00 - $1,200.00 per week
