Take on a hands-on leadership position supporting 24/7 railroad field operations. You’ll oversee a variety of projects involving derailment response, railcar repair, heavy equipment, load adjustment, and track maintenance and construction while working alongside field crews in a safety-focused environment.

Position Summary

What You’ll Do
- Direct daily activities and assign work to field crews
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce PPE, FRA, DOT, and company safety requirements
- Oversee field projects and assist with hands-on work and heavy equipment operations
- Communicate professionally with customers and regulatory agencies
- Complete payroll, equipment-use records, and project reports accurately
- Train, coach, and evaluate crew members
- Develop job quotes covering labor, equipment, and logistics
- Check equipment readiness and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Keep projects on schedule while maintaining safety and quality standards
- 2 years of railroad industry experience
- Working knowledge of FRA, DOT, and applicable safety regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, and crew-management abilities
- Experience using Microsoft Office and reporting systems
- Valid driver's license; CDL Class A or B preferred
- Heavy equipment operating experience, including cranes, excavators, or similar equipment
- Ability to read and understand load charts and rigging practices
- Ability to lead crews during demanding, time-sensitive field operations
- Strong organization, documentation, and reporting skills
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Frequent travel and overnight stays are required
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, walking on uneven terrain, and working extended hours
