Continuous Improvement Manager

Starting at $85,000/year (Higher compensation available based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to lead operational excellence initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving process improvements, increasing productivity, reducing waste, and implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, process improvement workshops, and root cause analysis.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Train and mentor employees on continuous improvement tools and best practices.
  • Partner with production teams to implement process changes and improve workflows.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance.
  • Present project updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support multiple shifts as needed to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, and Change Management.
  • Demonstrated success leading process improvement projects with measurable results.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, facilitation, and project management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Experience in fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or engineer-to-order environments is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to regularly walk the production floor.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to support multiple shifts and flexible hours as needed.
