We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to lead operational excellence initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving process improvements, increasing productivity, reducing waste, and implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, process improvement workshops, and root cause analysis.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement sustainable improvements.
- Train and mentor employees on continuous improvement tools and best practices.
- Partner with production teams to implement process changes and improve workflows.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance.
- Present project updates and recommendations to leadership.
- Support multiple shifts as needed to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, and Change Management.
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement projects with measurable results.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, facilitation, and project management skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
- Experience in fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or engineer-to-order environments is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to regularly walk the production floor.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to support multiple shifts and flexible hours as needed.
