Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field

Hard skills

Deep expertise in Swift and native iOS SDK

Actively uses AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) to ship code

Experience with hybrid mobile (React Native, Flutter, WebView)

Soft skills

Clear communicator who makes decisions independently and moves fast without excessive back- and- forth.

Strong product sense with genuine care for mobile UX, polish, and reliability.

Preferred if based in SF Bay Area; must be able to work remotely in Pacific Standard Time, with a Sunday evening standup.

Avoid: Enterprise- only iOS experience with no consumer app work

We are looking for a Founding iOS Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to own and build iOS app from the ground up. You'll be responsible for transitioning the app from Flutter to native iOS as the sole iOS engineer, working at a company that's already hit 5M MAUs and is backed by a16z, Khosla, and Mayfield. We want someone who has shipped consumer iOS apps at scale (think Snapchat, Instagram-caliber), is deeply AI-native in their development workflow, and thrives with massive ownership in a fast-moving startup. Mandarin fluency is required.
