MUST:
Experience Medical Receptionist - Nephrology
Must have 2 plus years of experience as a Medical Receptionist
Must have experience working with EMR; knowledge of EPIC is preferred
Must have experience handling high volume of incoming calls
Must have experience scheduling appointments
Must have experience handling insurance verifications
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
DUTIES:
Medical Receptionist - Nephrology will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Registers new patients with complete and accurate demographics according to procedure
Verifies patient's insurance eligibility and benefits at each visit
Updates patients' charts so that the information is entered correctly
Scans documents into the electronic medical record as directed.
Completes work daily to compile missing demographic and insurance information for billing purposes
Obtain prior authorizations for care
Answer phones taking patient demographic information
Other duties as assigned
