Pay From: $24 per hour
MUST:
Experienced Dental Assistant
Must have 2 plus years of experience as a Dental Assistant
Must be x-ray certified in Washington DC
Must be Licensed in DC
Must have experience assisting with fillings
Must have experience assisting with cleanings
DUTIES:
Dental Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Collect and record patients' medical and dental histories, including vital signs
Take and process dental diagnostic X-rays
Make preliminary impressions for study casts and take occlusal registrations for cast mounting
Pour, trim, and polish study casts; fabricate custom impression trays from preliminary impressions
Clean and polish removable dental appliances and fabricate temporary restorations
Assist the dentist in managing medical and dental emergencies
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and plaque control programs
Provide patients with postoperative instructions as prescribed by the dentist
Accurately document treatment information in patient records
Maintain and manage all patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and related regulations
Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to OSHA standards, policies, and procedures
Protect patients, staff, and self by following CDC and organizational infection control protocols
Ensure proper operation of dental equipment by performing routine preventive maintenance, following manufacturer guidelines, and reporting malfunctions promptly
Stay current in the field through continuing education, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations
