The Host / Welcome Lead is responsible for creating the first impression of Quabena’s Kitchen. You welcome guests, manage seating flow, and set the tone for the “Sunday in Ghana” experience. This role combines hospitality, organization, and energy to ensure every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive.
Responsibilities
Greet every guest warmly and with enthusiasm upon arrival
Manage seating and control the flow of guests into the dining area
Explain the dining experience (menu flow, ordering process, dine-in vs. to-go)
Manage waitlists and communicate accurate wait times
Guide guests to menus (QR or physical) and help them get started
Coordinate with cashier, line servers, and supervisor to manage capacity
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming entrance area
Handle guest inquiries and escalate issues when needed
Requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly, energetic, and welcoming personality
Ability to stay organized and manage multiple guests at once
Ability to remain calm under pressure during peak periods
Attention to detail and awareness of overall dining room flow
Schedule Expectations
Primarily required for Sunday dine-in service
Must be available during peak arrival periods
May support special events or high-traffic days
Job Type: Part-time
