Java Full Stack Developer - Basking Ridge, NJ, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Wilmington, DE, Stamford, CT

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join a strategic modernization initiative focused on replacing a legacy enterprise platform with a modern cloud-based solution. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, Azure Cloud, and SQL Server technologies. This role involves full-stack development across backend services, front-end applications, database design, cloud deployment, system integrations, and legacy-to-cloud migration activities. The consultant will work directly with stakeholders in a client-facing environment within a hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery model.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs for enterprise-scale integrations.
Develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly front-end applications using Angular.
Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA Accessibility Standards.
Design, optimize, and maintain database schemas, queries, and stored procedures using MS SQL Server and Azure SQL.
Integrate enterprise applications with external systems through REST APIs, database links, and CSV-based data exchanges.
Support migration of data from legacy platforms, including mainframe systems, to modern cloud environments.
Implement and maintain security controls including RBAC, MFA, SSO, Active Directory Integration, and Audit Logging.
Deploy, monitor, and support applications in Microsoft Azure Cloud environments.
Utilize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for containerized application deployments.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build and deployment processes.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Collaborate with business users, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
Create and maintain technical documentation, design documents, and deployment guides.

Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
Extensive experience developing production-grade applications using Spring Boot.
Experience designing and implementing Microservices Architecture.
Strong expertise in building and consuming REST APIs.
Proficiency in Angular front-end development.
Experience with MS SQL Server and/or Azure SQL.
Strong SQL query writing, optimization, schema design, and stored procedure development skills.
Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud deployments.
Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Experience implementing CI/CD Pipelines.
Knowledge of enterprise application integration patterns.
Familiarity with cloud-native application development.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders and clients.
Prior experience working in Public Sector, Government, or Regulated Industry Environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Legacy System Modernization initiatives.
Experience migrating applications from Mainframe to Cloud (Azure/AWS) environments.
Experience with government cloud or highly regulated industry environments.
Hands-on implementation experience with WCAG 2.1 Level AA Accessibility Compliance.
Experience implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
Experience integrating with Active Directory.
Experience implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
Experience with structured Data Migration, Reconciliation, and Auditability processes.
Exposure to hybrid Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
Experience with React is a plus.
