We are currently seeking a skilled, dependable Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at Whealdon Estates by Barclay House. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in creating a safe, well-maintained, and comfortable environment for residents and team members alike.

Primary Responsibilities of the Maintenance Coordinator
- Diagnose and repair maintenance issues across a wide range of systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, painting/wallpaper, pools/spas, and waste management systems
- Complete assigned service requests and repairs safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company operating standards
- Perform turn-key work to ensure vacant apartments are rent-ready within established timelines
- Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests, working collaboratively with residents to minimize disruption and resolve concerns, and following through to completion
- Maintain high customer service standards while fostering positive resident relationships
- Apply and adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures, including operating, safety, and maintenance standards
- Promote safe work practices among on-site staff and contractors
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Fair Housing laws, building codes, and environmental regulations
- Assist with organizing, prioritizing, and tracking service requests and general maintenance tasks
- Supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors as needed
- Drive a company or personal vehicle for community-related tasks when required
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall community operations
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in property management or maintenance-related work
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations for measurements, estimates, averages, and percentages
- Comfortable operating basic office equipment, including computers, phones, and copiers
- Proficient in the frequent use of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies such as hand tools, ladders, landscaping equipment, pressure washers, paint equipment, pool chemicals, and safety equipment
- Ability to safely handle chemicals and general cleaning supplies
- Must possess basic hand tools required for maintenance duties
- Position includes driving responsibilities using a company-provided or personal vehicle
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must meet the company's motor vehicle policy standards
