As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Your primary objective is to ensure customer satisfaction by accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any guest needs or concerns promptly. You will collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate timely and accurate delivery of orders. This role requires maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a server in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods as well as make suggestions on upgrades to the meal.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards.
  • Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any additional requests or concerns.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Handle guest payments and provide accurate change or process electronic transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

Skills:

The required communication skills are essential for interacting with guests to take orders accurately and provide information about menu items, ensuring a positive dining experience. Basic math skills are used daily to process payments and handle cash transactions efficiently. Physical stamina and endurance are necessary to manage long shifts involving standing, walking, and carrying trays. Preferred skills such as familiarity with POS systems streamline order entry and payment processing, improving service speed and accuracy. Additionally, multitasking and organizational skills help manage multiple tables and guest requests simultaneously, maintaining smooth operations during busy periods.
