Bridgeway Care at Home, a premiere senior care provider, is now hiring a Full-Time Occupational Therapist to join our in-house team!To be considered you will needCurrent license to practice profession in NJGraduation from an accredited school of occupational therapy is requiredResident Care:Address client’s aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life qualitySelect and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventionsApply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable componentsAssess client’s home and other environments and advice on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilitiesRecommend adaptive equipment and train in its useGuide and educate family members and caregiversObserve, note, and report on progress of long- and short-term treatment goalsCollect data and document processes followedRegularly follow-up clientTraining/Education:Participate in collaborative care conferencesCoordinate and provide training with Restorative Nursing and other Care staffProvide education and training to patient, caregiver, and community partnersAssist with training and education of facility and professional partnersEnsure compliance with mandatory education, training and competency programs#IND2
