QOROS Cardiovascular is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time opportunity located in Texas City, TX 77591.
QUICK GLANCE: The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible onboarding patients, monitoring clinical data from RPM devices, ensuring timely follow-up with patients and providers, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies. The MA serves as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure optimal care and improved health outcomes.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Coordinate the enrollment and onboarding of patients into the RPM program
- Educate patients on the use of RPM devices
- Monitor incoming patient data and escalate abnormal findings to appropriate clinical staff
- Track and document patient compliance and engagement with monitoring protocols
- Collaborate with care teams to support patient care plans and follow-up needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other relevant regulations
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients enrolled in the RPM program
- Troubleshoot device-related issues and coordinate with technical support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1 - year Medical Assistant experience required
- Medical Assistant experience working in a Cardiology healthcare setting preferred
- Prior experience in telehealth, remote monitoring, or care coordination strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with technology, especially health-related platforms and devices
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy laws
- EMR Experience required, eClinicalWorks preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred, not a requirement
