Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service while managing front desk operations.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Practice Fusion.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process medical collections accurately.
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages.
- Maintain accurate medical records by reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA policies.
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, intake documentation, and appointment reminders.
- Ensure clinic compliance with health information management standards and confidentiality policies at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office administration or front desk roles within clinics or healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Practrice Fusion
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation review and reporting.
- In-depth understanding of health insurance processes including verification, billing, and claims processing for Medicare and private insurers.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism.
