Chicago or Dallas | Full‑time
We’re seeking an experienced Database Administrator to design, maintain, and optimize enterprise‑level database environments. This role supports critical systems, ensures high performance, and contributes to all phases of system development.
What You’ll Do
• Design, implement, and maintain databases
• Monitor performance, tune systems, and manage disk usage
• Support database access methods, modeling, and production issue resolution
• Develop and document backup, recovery, and maintenance procedures
• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and drills
• Provide primary on‑call support for production issues
• Evaluate new software, upgrades, and DBMS standards
• Maintain metadata and system documentation
What You Bring
• 5 years as a DBA or developing complex database‑driven applications
• Strong data modeling and systems analysis skills
• Proficiency with DML, DDL, and utilities across at least two DBMS technologies
• Experience with multiple programming and scripting languages
• Strong ownership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
Technical Skills
• 5 years PostgreSQL (EDB preferred)
• 5 years Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, CI/CD
• Preferred: CTE, Barman, AWS, DB2 LUW, SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, DB2 z/OS
