What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Writer – Certification and Permitting position at Qnetic?
Qnetic was founded with the mission to enable the transition to clean, sustainable energy. To achieve it, we are developing a high-performance energy storage system for the electric grid, based on new flywheel technology. It delivers ‘energy shifting’ at a lower cost than anything we know about. Compared to lithium-ion batteries, Qnetic has 3x the lifetime, 2x the discharge duration, 0.5x the cost and 0x the degradation.
We’re building something fundamentally different — and we’re looking for people who are driven to solve hard challenges, do meaningful work, and make a real impact on the future of energy.
About The Role
Develop documentation required for certifications, permitting, and operation of new Flywheel Energy Storage Systems. We are seeking an individual to coordinate with our Engineering, Marketing, and Safety teams to create and oversee our documentation strategy for the purposes of attaining certifications and permits to build. This role is critical to ensure regulatory compliance,, AHJ approval, and commercial readiness.
What You'll Do
Understand our systems well enough to communicate with external parties. Communicating with certifying agencies. Overseeing document flow for certification process. Setting standards for documentation for company-wide use. Develop documentation required for permitting, interconnection, and AHJ approval:
