Commercial HVAC Tech needed in AshevilleAbility to understand mechanical drawings and equipment specificationsAbility to troubleshoot complex high and low-voltage electrical systems. Expert ability to read wiring schematics.Has a thorough understanding of various equipment to include large unitary packaged equipment over 25 tons, SWUD units, VRF, basic air-cooled chillers, semi-hermetic compressors, dehumidification equipment, complex specialty equipment, air handlers of all types, simple boilers, cooling towers, water pumps, valves, actuators, and VFD's.Proficient with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all components of the above equipment.Complete understanding of the sequence of operation and control strategies for the above equipmentThorough understanding of airflow for variable air volume systems. Must understand duct design for these systems and control strategy.Understanding of DDC control components and pneumatic systemsDemonstrated experience in understanding basic refrigerant cycle, various heating components, and air distribution systems.Ability to communicate with customers and explain complex technical issues in laymen's termsProficient with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial HVAC equipmentKnowledge of basic refrigerant cycle, various heating components and air distribution systems.Proficient with brazing, leak checking and the evacuation processUnderstands mechanical drawings and equipment specificationsAbility to abide by basic safe work practices2 - 7 years of commercial HVAC service experienceUniversal EPA CertificationAbility to efficiently execute repairs with little to no technical assistanceAbility to write reports.Ability to show up on time, ready to work and in uniformAbility to communicate with both internal and external customersMust have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving recordMust successfully pass a background check and drug testPhysical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing and climbing.
