We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to support growth across both Doman Energy’s engineering services and QE Solar’s O&M offerings. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and driving revenue across commercial and utility-scale energy markets. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the renewable energy or power engineering space, paired with a proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and build long-term partnerships.

The Pay Range For This Role Is
130,000 - 165,000 USD per year (Raleigh, NC)

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Strategy (40%)
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across engineering services and solar/BESS O&M markets
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Establish and grow relationships with IPPs, developers, utilities, EPCs, and asset owners
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding technical and operational needs
- Maintain ongoing communication to support repeat business and long-term partnerships
- Lead RFP/RFQ responses, including pricing, scope development, and contract negotiation
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to develop tailored solutions
- Drive deals from initial contact through contract execution
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting within CRM systems
- Ensure timely updates on deal status and client interactions
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities
- Provide feedback to leadership on market conditions and service offerings
- Partner with internal teams to align sales efforts with operational capabilities
- Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, including solar and BESS
- Ability to sell both technical engineering services and long-term service agreements (O&M)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to build relationships and close complex deals
- Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and operational teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in energy, engineering, or related industry
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience selling into utility-scale solar, BESS, or power engineering markets
- Existing network within IPPs, developers, or utilities
- Familiarity with EPC, O&M contracts, and engineering scopes
- Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Base Salary: $130,000 – $165,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Performance Bonus / Commission
