This role plays a critical part in maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing solar sites by ensuring vegetation is properly managed around equipment and arrays.

The Pay Range For This Role Is
22 - 24 USD per hour (Vegetation - Donahue)

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Perform vegetation management activities including mowing, trimming, and removal of overgrowth around solar arrays and equipment
- Operate basic landscaping equipment such as weed trimmers, mowers, and blowers (training provided)
- Assist with safe herbicide application in accordance with company and environmental guidelines (training and certification support provided)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of solar sites
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Support site inspections and report any visible issues or hazards
- Travel to various solar sites as needed and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in heat, sun, or varying weather conditions
- Comfortable using hand tools and equipment (or willingness to learn)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication and ability to follow instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- No prior vegetation or solar experience required
- Previous landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience (not required)
- Interest in renewable energy or field-based work
- Willingness to obtain herbicide applicator license (company-sponsored)

This Position Requires
- Working in indoor and outdoor environments, including solar sites, construction sites, and industrial facilities, in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, etc.)
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing on uneven terrain
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds or more, with or without assistance
- Use of hands and fingers to operate tools, testing equipment, and technical devices with precision
- Ability to safely climb ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights
- Ability to work in confined spaces and near energized equipment while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols
- Visual acuity to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents, and to identify potential hazards
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, harnesses, arc-flash protection, and other job-specific gear
- Effective verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other trades in active work environments
