POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a key member of the Offering Development Team, the Energy Policy Compliance Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and compliance of renewable energy system data used for credit and incentive qualification. This role supports both EnFin and Qcells by delivering high-quality performance reports, compliance insights, and data validation that underpin funding eligibility and long-term system value. The Analyst will collaborate closely with Quality Systems & Service (QSS), EnFin Operations, and Capital Markets teams to verify data integrity and ensure adherence to program and regulatory requirements. This position blends manual and automated data analysis to assess system performance, validate compliance, and optimize reporting efficiency. Core responsibilities include compiling, validating, and analyzing datasets from Salesforce CRM and internal tracking systems, as well as preparing accurate datasets for third-party engineering teams conducting independent system reviews. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, with experience in data visualization and automation tools such as Tableau strongly preferred.
This position will be based out of our office in San Francisco, CA with an in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Apply policy interpretation to data review processes, ensuring regulatory requirements are accurately reflected in datasets and compliance checks.
- Utilize data analytics tools to conduct quality checks on QSS and third-party TPO data submission processes for dealers and partner installers.
- Build and manage Tableau dashboards and reports to provide stakeholders with insights into system compliance, performance, and incentive eligibility.
- Automate data validation and cleansing processes using tools such as Python to streamline compliance workflows and improve reporting efficiency.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to consolidate information from Salesforce, Excel-based trackers, and other internal systems into cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS S3).
- Perform quality and compliance checks on system data submitted by dealers and third-party owners (TPOs), using Excel toolkits and analytics platforms.
- Review system tranches for tax credit eligibility, incentive qualification, and data integrity to ensure alignment with reporting standards.
- Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and quality issues, ensuring datasets meet fund and incentive program requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data needs and deliver accurate, timely metrics for fund acceptance and incentive reporting.
- Communicate findings and insights clearly to stakeholders, translating complex data and policy requirements into actionable recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of professional work experience including 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
- Proven ability to translate policy or regulatory requirements into data-driven analysis and compliance workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and data quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated expertise in Excel-based data analysis, modeling, and business intelligence reporting.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, with experience using cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or AWS S3.
- Strong working knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) for developing dashboards and reports.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Python for data analysis, validation, or process automation.
- Experience in solar technology platforms or renewable energy products.
- Proficiency in Korean is a plus.
