Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Production Associate. This position will be responsible for production and packaging of our standard and custom sheet metal paint test panels. The position requires a high attention to quality details and the use of industrial fabrication machinery.

Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Production Associate. This position will be responsible for production and packaging of our standard and custom sheet metal paint test panels. The position requires a high attention to quality details and the use of industrial fabrication machinery.
Responsibilities
- Learn and operate machinery including, but not limited to: Surface Grinders, 20T and 35 T Bliss Presses, Shears, Brakes, Slip Rollers Sand Blasters
- Fast-paced automated press operation
- Continuously and consistently inspect sheet metal part quality
- Precisely count sheet metal parts before packaging
- Detect and report unusual or defective materials to the supervisor
- Ability to cross train and work any of the numerous areas within the department
- Follow Lean Manufacturing 5S practices
- Operate a forklift, JIB crane, or sling to carry raw materials or completed product
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Understanding of how to work from blueprints and written specifications
- Working knowledge of basic computer software
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 90% of work day if needed
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary
- Ability to work in loud conditions that require hearing protection
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Experience operating JIB cranes and slings to hang, lay, or move large coils of sheet metal
