Data Engineer
The Q Family Office has an immediate need for a data engineer who will be working with an incredible IT and finance team. This is a full-time direct hire position located in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. We are offering up to 10% over the candidate's prior year compensation.
What You Need for this Position
o Preferred, but not required: a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, or related field
o 3-7 years of Microsoft SQL Server experience and stable work history
o Must be able to work on location at our Fort Worth office
o Must be able to work a 50-hour work week
o Must be able to commit to at least 2 years in this role
What You Will Be Doing
o Gathering requirements from financial professionals on data projects
o Data extraction and transforms
o Architecture and maintenance of tables, stored procedures, triggers, UDFs, complex queries
o Regularly analyzing and optimizing performance of suboptimal queries
o Creation of tools necessary in data analysis including excel queries and macros
o Database maintenance including backups, maintenance plans, and security controls
o Showcase your creative mind and problem-solving skills
o Regular involvement in our internal training program. Grade SQL and other technical tests, and mentor trainees on best practices.
