Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor
BASIC FUNCTION
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for administering and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections and room boards. Responsible for inspecting Guest Rooms and ensuring they are cleaned to Brand standards, assist Room Attendants as needed, provide necessary training.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: Hotel Operations Manager
- Supervises: Housekeepers, Hotel Housekeeping Dual Rate, Laundry Attendants
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open, supervise, and close department as needed.
- Supervise and check out housekeeping and laundry staff members.
- Instruct and assist employees with job duties.
- Assign, check and monitor work schedules.
- Compile monthly inventory.
- Prepare budget with GM
- Order guest and laundry supplies as needed.
- Interview, hire and train new staff members.
- Know the function of all areas in Housekeeping and Laundry.
- Proficient in OnQ Housekeeping Program
- Ensure all staff are in the proper brand required uniform.
- Other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- 2 years business degree or equivalent experience.
- Prior supervisory or management experience helpful.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Good oral communication skills.
- Good written communication skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Completion of all brand and other required certifications.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Heavy work, ability to move up to 100 lbs.
- Standing and walking for long periods of time.

Loud noise levels from laundry room.
