What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Q&B Foods?
The Warehouse Associate will perform various duties from material handling, receiving, and shipping to support overall warehouse operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including loading docks, trucks, and storage areas.
- Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor.
- Performs daily forklift operator’s checklist and reports mechanical, electrical, or safety concerns with the forklift to management.
- Manages and piles drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas.
- Checks packing list for accuracy and inspects collected goods.
- Verifies and records of all items being received, loaded, or shipped.
- Organize finished goods and pull finished goods.
- Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
- Shipping UPS and Fed Ex samples to customers.
- Perform cleaning duties and follow all GMP regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or (combination of education credits and relevant full-time experience).
- English Language (Speaking/Listening); Spanish a plus
- Knowledge: Familiarity with machinery and equipment such as hoses, pumps, valves, trailers. Regulatory law experience, understanding methods for ensuring quality and integrity of bulk items.
- Skills: Reading comprehension, active listening, speaking, business writing, problem solving, coordination, service orientation, multitasking; Computer literate, a plus
- 2 years forklift experience
- Utilize Sit-down Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, and Manual Pallet Jack
- Adhere to safety standards.
Expected Working Hours
This is a full-time position, and basic hours of work and days are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. some Saturdays.
Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment. Will operate a forklift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk and stand. This is largely a physical role. This would require the ability to push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, climb. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 40 lbs.
