Accounting Specialist / Cost Accountant - Raford, VA

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Experience with Sage 300/Auto Simply (or similar MRP systems).
4. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
5. Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
6. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

JOB DUTIES:
1. Assist in the month end close process (Reconciling Inventory, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc.).
2. Support Plant Controller in Weekly and Monthly Budget to Forecast Analysis and related manufacturing and labor variance analysis.
3. Assist the Plant Controller in developing, preparing and analyzing the company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
4. Assist in establishing and measuring inventory standard costs, updating the MRP master cards, calculating and reporting cost of goods sold and related cost records.
5. Perform three-way matching (PO, invoice, receiving).
6. Code and enter invoices into Sage 300 with correct GL and job cost allocation.
7. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
8. Communicate with vendors and internal departments as needed.
9. Prepare and issue customer invoices, billbacks, credits, and adjustments.
10. Reconcile Customer accounts invoiced and shipped Sales to Customers contracted sales orders.
11. Manage customer billing cycles and ensure timely invoicing.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
13. Use of ERP/MRP Intelligence Reporting (or other Power BI tools)
14. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
15. Exposure to a Government Contract Environments billing systems and their standards (DFARS, FARS, etc.).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to move throughout the facilities.
2. Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
3. Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs.
