GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Be able to read, speak, and understand English.
2. Must be able to receive clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (BATFE).
3. Must have general knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations especially regarding Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work permits, and machine guarding.
4. Must complete Lockout/Tagout training.
5. Must complete Bloodborne Pathogen training.
6. Must have experience with electrical wiring: 110V, 220V.
7. Must have basic carpentry skills.
8. Must have basic and industrial plumbing experience.
9. Must have own tools.
10. Must understand the hazards of explosive materials.
11. Must have a general knowledge of all safety work rules and practices.
12. Must know how to safely operate power mower, power hedge trimmers, weed eaters and tractor with mower and loader attachments.
13. Be able to maintain assigned grounds in neat and orderly fashion by using powered landscaping or snow removal equipment and hand tools as needed.
14. Must be able to operate a forklift effectively and safely.
15. Must hold a valid state driver’s license.
16. Must be able to report to work on weekends, day or night during inclement weather events.
17. Must be able to perform duties at various locations of facility which may require use of personal or Company vehicle.
18. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
19. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
20. Be able to work and communicate well with others.
21. Must be willing to work any shift and do weekend repairs as required.
22. Must have telephone and be available to answer for phone assistance and call-in, as needed.
23. Be able to work all overtime as required.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Works on specific duties based on shift hours worked.
2. Assist in preparing for Preventive Maintenance (PM's) when necessary.
3. Maintain grounds, Magazines, storage buildings, test sites, paths, and roadways according to weather and facility's maintenance schedule per assignment list provided by Supervisor.
4. Responsible for communicating with Supervisor, or designee, if leaving assigned area so that proper notification can be made in the case of an emergency.
5. In appropriate season cuts grass, weed eats, trims and cuts trees and removes leaves using Company provided power and hand tools.
6. Perform minor maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning to assigned power equipment. Refer problems of a more serious nature to a Maintenance Supervisor, or designee for necessary repairs
7. Conduct litter patrol in assigned areas, remove and dispose of trash.
8. Remove dirt and wood that has fallen from barricades.
9. Fill in pot holes in asphalt roadways and walkways.
10. In winter months, using tractor or shovel remove snow and ice to clear sidewalks, roadways, loading docks, doorways, fire hydrants, and storm drains as directed by Supervisor or designee.
11. Check and fill salt tubs before and after snow and ice events.
12. Perform cleaning tasks and operation of various types of cleaning equipment to care for and maintain assigned buildings and related facilities.
13. Cleaning duties include, but are not limited to: sweeping; mopping; vacuuming and spot cleaning carpeted areas; during furniture, woodwork, fixtures and equipment; washing windows and walls; emptying and cleaning waste receptacles; cleaning and maintaining supplies in restrooms, change house and break room; and picking up refuse on grounds of facility.
14. Maintain Small-Scale and Large-Scale test sites after testing.
15. Maintain recycling containers throughout the facility.
16. Assist in moving and arranging furniture, if required.
24. Performs weekly inventory of custodial supplies and notifies Purchasing Manager of supplies needed.
25. Maintain a clean and orderly stocked area.
26. Drive Company pickup truck for work assignments or to obtain needed supplies from designated vendor off site.
27. If Company vehicle not available must be able to use personal vehicle for performance of duties. (Mileage reimbursement is paid for use of personal vehicle).
28. Must be committed to ISO and the company's Quality Management System using process approach and risk based thinking methodologies.
29. Shares accountability for the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
30. Obey all company work and safety rules.
31. Perform all other duties as required by the Maintenance Supervisor or designee.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis, unassisted.
2. Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs., with assistance.
3. Must be able to stand, bend, walk and move about the plant facilities throughout an 8-12 hour period.
4. Must be able to work on higher elevations via man-lifts or ladders.
