Job Role: Sr Consultant/Manager
Location: Downey, CA – Hybrid
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Additional Experience Required:
The Sr. Software Engineer works directly under the direction of an IT Manager, IT supervisor, and / or user agency personnel and is responsible for leading the enhancement, support and ongoing development of multiple applications used by the County to support up to hundreds of users. The Sr. Software Engineer will lead application support for multiple applications, project management for stakeholders and managers, and work cohesively within multiple teams. The Sr. Software Engineer will have deep technical expertise in application development areas such as object-oriented programing, client-side scripting, and database development. The Sr. Software Engineer will be able to project manage multiple development projects using Agile methodology.
Development - Proficient in languages and frameworks like, but not limited to ( C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET 8 , Entity Framework, Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Ruby, Ruby-On-Rails, Ruby Gems, Rails Api, web sockets); Proficient in client-side scripting JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, or React.
- This classification requires at least 5 years of experience within the last 7 years in application development in object-oriented development (i.e. .NET, Java, Ruby-on-Rails), Client-Side Scripting frameworks (JavaScript, React, jQuery), Mobile Development (.NET Maui, React Native), Apple Development (Swift), Relational Databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle DB).
- At least 1 year of professional experience with Git version control, proficient and worked within defined branching strategies.
- At least 2 years developing, enhancing, and supporting business intelligence reports (Power BI, Crystal Reports, or Cognos).
- At least 3 years within the last 7 years delivering project features within agile sprints, demonstrating project work to stakeholders, facilitating Agile project management ceremonies such as standups, backlog grooming, and sprint retrospectives.
- At least 1 year of providing on-site technical support for custom-off-the-shelf systems (COTS).
Additional Education Required:
This classification requires possession of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology related degree. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Information:
Candidates must have a valid California Class C Driver License with no restrictions. Travel may be required to provide technical support and conduct on-site requirements gathering with end users.
Salary : $110 - $120
