What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):
- Keep Operations Running Smoothly: Perform interior and exterior repairs, including drywall installation, painting, flooring, masonry patching, roofing, parking decks and structural touch-ups.
- Preventative Maintenance: Maintain crucial facility HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems (sprinklers, extinguishers) to prevent downtime.
- Customer & Team Support: Provide friendly assistance to customers on-site and maintain clear communication with your supervisor regarding equipment's health.
- Contractor Liaison: Assist and coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are underway.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Hands-on experience in general building maintenance or equivalent trade background (BOCES training or similar in general HVAC/maintenance is highly preferred).
- Skills: Solid basic plumbing skills and comfort handling routine HVAC preventative maintenance.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Traits: A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and zero supervisory experience required-just a strong work ethic.
