$75,000 – $80,000 annually

Lead, Grow, and Make an Impact
Pyramid Healthcare is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our newest Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment program in Jacksonville, NC. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape a growing behavioral healthcare program while leading a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping individuals achieve lasting recovery.
The Executive Director serves as the senior leader of the facility, overseeing clinical operations, business performance, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and strategic growth. We are seeking a mission-driven leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality care while developing strong teams and community partnerships.
Required Qualifications
✔ Master's Degree in a Human Services, Behavioral Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
✔ Active LCAS license in North Carolina
✔ Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership or management experience in healthcare or behavioral health
✔ Experience managing clinical operations, regulatory compliance, budgets, and staff performance
✔ Strong knowledge of substance use disorder treatment services
Preferred Qualifications
✔ Dual licensure (LCAS/LCSW or LCAS/LCMHC)
✔ Experience leading large behavioral health programs
✔ Experience with CARF accreditation standards
✔ Multi-site leadership experience
What You'll Do
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Lead all aspects of facility operations, including clinical, administrative, financial, and program performance
Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives that expand access to care and strengthen community impact
Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, community partners, and stakeholders
Team Leadership & Culture
Recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing leaders and staff
Foster a positive, accountable, and mission-driven workplace culture
Drive employee engagement, retention, and professional development initiatives
Clinical Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, licensing, and accreditation requirements, including CARF standards
Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement efforts
Support exceptional client outcomes through high-quality, evidence-based programming
Financial Management
Develop and manage program budgets
Monitor key performance indicators, census growth, revenue, expenses, and operational efficiency
Partner with corporate leadership to achieve financial and operational goals
