Key Responsibilities:
- Provide DB2 for z/OS technical support and systems programming (non-DBA)
- Participate in design, development, and implementation of DB2 systems engineering initiatives
- Support and maintain DB2 z/OS Data Sharing environments
- Perform DB2 performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
- Support DB2 disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution
- Maintain DB2 system software using SMP/E
- Establish and maintain system parameters, I/O processes, and hardware compatibility
- Coordinate subsystem design and integration across mainframe environments
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for DB2 z/OS platform operations
- Influence and guide technical activities related to special initiatives and operational improvements
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
- Key skills: - SMP/E, DB2 for z/OS V13, DB2 for z/OS Data Sharing, DB2 for z/OS Performance and Tuning, DB2 for z/OS Disaster Recovery.
- SMP/E

- 6–8 years of experience as a DB2 z/OS Systems Programmer
- Strong understanding of mainframe systems engineering and DB2 infrastructure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
