Pay Range: $50 - $55/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills;Data Migration Lead .
- Technical Expertise
- Deep knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Experience with large, complex schemas (10000 tables, many relationships)
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL, and data quality tools
- Familiarity with data migration orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Talend, Informatica)
- Hands on exp in Scripting Specifically Python, Shell scripts
- Message definitions/ parsing
- Experience in different flavours of RDBMS ( Postgres,Oracle,Informix)
- Migration Planning
- Ability to analyze source and target schemas, identify dependencies, and define migration sequencing
- Design robust migration strategies (full, incremental, delta loads)
- Define rollback and recovery procedures
- Data Quality & Validation
- Define and implement data validation, reconciliation, and audit controls
- Plan for data cleansing, deduplication, and transformation logic
- Performance & Scalability
- Architect migration for high throughput and minimal downtime
- Plan for parallelization, batching, and error handling
- Security & Compliance
- Ensure data privacy, masking, and secure transfer
- Comply with regulatory and audit requirements
- Automation & Monitoring
- Design automated migration pipelines with monitoring and alerting
- Enable detailed logging and traceability for all migration steps
- Communication & Documentation
- Document migration architecture, mapping, and business rules
- Communicate with business, DBAs, and application teams
- Testing & Cutover
- Plan and execute migration dry runs, cutover, and post-migration validation
- Support go-live and subsequent phases
