Business System Analyst

Pay Range: $45 - $50/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for specialty insurance products.
• Configure and maintain Verisk Rulebook business rules, rating algorithms, underwriting guidelines, and workflow configurations.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product management, operations, and IT teams to translate business needs into functional solutions.
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases.
• Support policy administration, rating, quoting, underwriting, and product implementation initiatives.
• Coordinate with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation and testing of configured rules.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder meetings, sprint planning, and UAT sessions.
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues and validating system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and specialty insurance business standards.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Skills: Business Systems Analysts , Verisk Rulebook configuration and Specialty Insurance.
• 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within the Property & Casualty Insurance industry.
• Hands-on experience with Verisk Rulebook configuration and maintenance.
• Strong domain knowledge of Specialty Insurance products and operations.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Understanding of underwriting, rating, quoting, policy administration, and insurance workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams.
