Position Overview
PVEDI is seeking a Structural Drafter to join our growing CSE Division. This position focuses on preparing detailed construction support drawings for temporary works on bridges and buildings, including platforms, scaffold systems, containment framing, and access solutions.
You will work directly with licensed Professional Engineers and E.I.T.s to transform calculations and design concepts into accurate, constructible drawing packages for contractor use and regulatory review.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD/Revit drawings for:
- Suspended access platforms (SafeSpan, QuikDeck, etc.)
- Scaffold systems and shoring layouts
- Containment framing and ventilation layouts
- Anchorage and connection details
- Develop drawing packages and revise drawings per engineer redlines
- Coordinate geometry with existing structures
- Assist in development of drawing standards and internal drafting templates
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
- 2 years of structural drafting experience (bridge or scaffold experience preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of structural detailing and connection layout
- Ability to interpret engineering calculations and sketches
- Strong attention to detail and organization

Required Skills
Strong understanding of structural detailing and construction document preparation, with the ability to interpret engineering mark-ups and translate them into clear, accurate drawings.
Proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD a plus) and the ability to coordinate drawings with engineers and contractors to resolve field and constructability issues.
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, clear communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.
