Looking for a Leadership Role That Doesn't Require Sacrificing Your Personal Life?

Many experienced clinicians reach a point in their careers where they want to mentor others, shape clinical practice, and have a greater impact—but aren't interested in the long hours and burnout that often accompany leadership positions.

At Puzzle Pieces, we believe leadership can be both meaningful and sustainable.

We are seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead our Behavioral Health Department and help support a growing team of clinicians serving children and families. This role offers the opportunity to influence clinical quality, mentor staff, and contribute to the direction of the practice while maintaining a schedule that supports life outside of work.

We are open to creating a consistent schedule between 30 and 40 hours per week based on the right candidate's interests, availability, and professional goals.

About Puzzle Pieces

Puzzle Pieces is a multidisciplinary pediatric practice serving children and families throughout the South Shore and Greater Boston area. Since 2013, we have provided relationship-based, neurodiversity-affirming services through mental health counseling, speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, parent coaching, and consultation.

Today, we support hundreds of children and families each week through a collaborative, strengths-based model that values relationships, development, and individualized care.

As an accredited DIRFloortime® provider, we are committed to helping children thrive through connection, understanding, and meaningful relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and consultation to behavioral health clinicians
  • Support onboarding, professional development, and clinician growth
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming department culture
  • Partner with leadership on hiring, retention, and staff development
  • Assist with clinical decision-making, treatment planning, and case consultation
  • Help shape department initiatives, clinical programming, and quality improvement efforts
  • Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology leadership
  • Maintain a reduced clinical caseload while focusing primarily on supervision and leadership responsibilities

Why This Role Is Different

Leadership Without Burnout

This role is intentionally structured to allow time for mentorship, collaboration, and thoughtful leadership. We believe supervisors are most effective when they have protected time to support clinicians and strengthen clinical quality—not simply manage productivity metrics.

Flexible and Sustainable

We recognize that many experienced clinicians are balancing family responsibilities, caregiving, community involvement, or other professional interests. We are open to creating a consistent schedule between 30 and 40 hours per week and may be able to accommodate flexible scheduling arrangements for the right candidate.

Opportunity to Shape the Future

As a member of the leadership team, you will have a meaningful voice in department growth, hiring decisions, clinical initiatives, and program development.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Work alongside an experienced team of mental health clinicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and developmental specialists in a truly collaborative environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Independent licensure (LMHC, LICSW, Psychologist, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children, families, and neurodivergent populations
  • Prior supervisory, leadership, or mentoring experience
  • Strong clinical judgment and consultation skills
  • Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming and relationship-based practice
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
  • A desire to help clinicians grow and thrive professionally

Our Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced clinician who enjoys helping other therapists succeed. You value relationships, collaboration, and clinical excellence. You are looking for a leadership role where your voice matters, your expertise is respected, and your work contributes to both strong clinical outcomes and a healthy workplace culture.

Most importantly, you're seeking a position that allows you to continue growing professionally while maintaining balance in the rest of your life.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Three weeks PTO
  • Ten paid holidays
  • Professional development support
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary team
  • Leadership role with meaningful influence
  • Flexible scheduling options including hybrid remote options
  • Supportive and mission-driven culture

To apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter describing your clinical and leadership experience.

Flexible work from home options available.
