Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Oversee all aspects of the middle school girls soccer program, focusing on participation, skill building, and a positive team culture.
- Coaching & Instruction: Plan and conduct effective, age-appropriate practices focusing on fundamental techniques, safety, game strategies, and conditioning.
- Game Management: Develop and organize lineups, manage games, and make strategic decisions during competition.
- Student Development: Mentor student-athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, responsibility, and commitment to academic success.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage equipment inventory, coordinate travel logistics, and maintain clear communication with the Athletic Coordinator, school staff, and parents.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all school, district, and middle school athletic association rules and regulations.
- CT Certification 600: Interscholastic/Intramural Coach or eligibility for certification required
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of soccer fundamentals, tactical strategies, and safety protocols for middle school athletes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and build confidence in student-athletes of all skill levels.
- Commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
