Compensation & Benefits
We value your time and expertise. Our pay structure ensures you are compensated fairly for both your driving time and game-day standby:
- Base Rate: Minimum $200 per trip (covers the first 4 hours).
- Additional Time: $35 per hour for every hour after the initial 4 hours.
- Paid Medical Exam: We will cover the cost of your state-required DOT physical.
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for athletes, coaches, and equipment to scheduled athletic events.
- Maintain a strict schedule to ensure teams arrive for warm-ups and tip-offs on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure bus safety and cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with the Director of Transportation, Athletic Director and coaching staff regarding routes and timing.
- Adhere to all state and federal traffic laws and safety regulations.
To comply with Connecticut State Law (CGS
- 14-44) for student transportation, all applicants must meet the following:
- Valid CT CDL: Must possess a Class B or Class A Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Student Transportation Activity Vehicle (A) or School Bus (S) endorsement
- Background Checks: Must pass a state and national criminal background check, including a check against the National Sex Offender Registry and the CT Child Abuse and Neglect Registry.
