DESCRIPTION: A per-diem child care assistant with the Putnam Family Resource Center will assist in providing care and educational support for preschool and school-age children. Working under the supervision of the center's director, the per-diem child care assistant will help implement age-appropriate activities, assist with classroom management, and support children's social and emotional development. Key responsibilities include aiding in the preparation and delivery of engaging learning experiences, assisting with daily routines, providing one-on-one support to children as needed, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and compassionate, with strong communication skills, a passion for working with young children, and a desire to contribute to a supportive and inclusive educational setting. This position offers hands-on experience in early childhood education and childcare within a dynamic public school environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• ParaPro Test or equivalent of 2 year's college credits - 60 credits (preferred)
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be physically able to engage in activities with children, including sitting on the floor, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 30 pounds
  
  

DATES: Immediate openings

RATE OF PAY: $18.20 per hour
