What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Improvement Cdnr/RN position at Putnam General Hospital?
Work as a member of the Performance Improvement Committee to implement the quality improvement program at PGH; facilitate hospital-wide quality improvement-based activities; identify opportunities for improvement, seek solutions, and establish monitoring and evaluating strategies. Update and maintain PGH Emergency Operations Plan; conduct drills, monitor supplies, and ensure staff training regarding emergency preparedness; ensure hospital compliance with TJC (The Joint Commission) Emergency Management Standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Monitor TJC and CMS standards compliance ongoing to maintain constant state of survey readiness
o Ensure the PI program supports multidisciplinary team initiatives.
EDUCATION:
a. B.S. degree in healthcare related field; BSN preferred
b. Current RN license
EXPERIENCE:
a. Three years’ experience in acute care facility preferred
b. Prior training, certification, and experience in the following areas strongly preferred: emergency planning and management, emergency department, emergency medical services and/or fire services, risk management, hazardous materials management.
