Supplemental Transportation Logistics Analyst - With Benefits
LOCATION: County - Currently Transportation Garage Office
SALARY RANGE: COUNTY SUPPLEMENT
JOB DESCRIPTION: The transportation logistics analyst will ensure daily route coverage for unfilled positions pertaining to all transportation areas for Putnam County. The transportation logistics analyst will analyze and evaluate all bus routes for Putnam County Schools for efficiency and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS: The Applicant Must Be A Regularly Employed Bus Op In Putnam County Schools
DAILY HOURS: 11:00 am - 1:30 pm Monday - Friday
Effective Employment Date: 2026-27 School Year Only

*LOCATIONS AND LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT CHANGE WILL BE DETERMINED BY DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION DEPENDENT UPON NEED OF THE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Transportation Logistics Analyst shall have the folliwng responsibilities and duties:
- To assist in the selection of bus operators, routing, and scheduling school buses for curricular and extracurricular trips.
- To assist with "step up" of bus operator as needed.
- To relay information to bus operators from the Director of Transportation.
- Communicating routing information to the Director of Transportation, Transportation Supervisor and Area Coordinators.
- To communicate to the Director of Transportation any concerns expressed by bus operators in assigned area.
- Analyze, modify and dissect data for transportation logistics.
- Coordinate all transportation drills.
- Assist the Director of Transportation in the development and implementation of Continuing Education opportunities and other transportation trainings.
- To assist in the coordination of transportation-related school activities at the beginning and end of each school year.
- To assist with principals’ and parents’ questions regarding bus numbers and bus stops.
- To perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation.
