Job Summary:
Relieves the radiologic technologists of such clerical duties as typing forms, filing, logging daily patient work, mailing of reports and disposition of films when required by physicians or insurance companies. Assists in transporting patients by wheelchair or gurney to and from the Imaging Services Department. Completes the CR cassette. Greets outpatients, sets up their appointments and gives patients the proper outpatient examination “prep forms”.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assigns the proper patient consent form, if an injectable study is to be performed.
• Assists in locating patient files.
• Assists Imaging Services personnel by performing a variety of duties for patients and certain heavy duties in the care of the physically or mentally handicapped.
• Transports patients to and from the Imaging Services Department.
• Assists in maneuvering the portable radiology equipment.
• Helps maintain the equipment and assists in cleaning the department, except for those duties pertaining directly to the Environmental Services personnel.
• Assists in CR cassettes process..
