Location:

Responsibilities
- Monitor federal, state, and local payroll, labor, and tax regulations to ensure Push and its clients remain compliant.
- Research regulatory changes and communicate updates to internal teams and clients.
- Support compliance audits, internal reviews, and external examinations.
- Maintain documentation for compliance processes, tax registrations, and state filings.
- Work closely with the Payroll, Product, CX, and Implementation teams to ensure customer setups and processes meet compliance requirements.
- Manage tax account registrations, state unemployment insurance (SUI) setup, and required filing updates.
- Review client payroll data for compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with resolving federal and state tax notices.
- Contribute to the development of internal policies, controls, and process improvements.

Requirements
- 2 years of experience in payroll compliance, regulatory research, HR compliance, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of US labor laws, tax regulations, and multi-state compliance requirements.
- Excellent research, analytical, and documentation skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulations clearly.
- Experience working with payroll or HRIS platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across teams.
- Experience handling multi-state tax registrations or payroll tax compliance.
- Prior work in SaaS, payroll, or HR technology environments.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, privacy laws).
- Experience responding to tax notices.
- CPP, FPC, or similar certification.
