Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fiber Technician based in Oakdale, MN. The Fiber Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic systems.
Day-to-day tasks include handling and splicing fiber optic cables, diagnosing issues, and ensuring optimal network performance. The role also involves collaborating with team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cables and Cabling, including installation and management of fiber optic systems Strong skills in Troubleshooting and identifying issues in fiber-optic systems
Knowledge of Optics and Fibre to test, analyze, and optimize performance
Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Familiarity with industry safety protocols and standards Previous experience in telecommunications or a related field is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in fiber optics are advantageous
