Brazer/Assembler

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Brazer/Assembler to join our dynamic fabrication team. This role involves precision metal fabrication, assembly, and welding to produce high-quality components and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience interpreting technical drawings, and proficiency with various welding techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse metal materials, utilize advanced measuring instruments, and contribute to complex fabrication projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately assemble components.
• Perform brazing using appropriate techniques such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), TIG, and FCAW to join metal parts securely.
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to ensure parts meet specified dimensions according to blueprint specifications.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication and assembly processes.
• Fabricate sheet metal components by cutting, bending, soldering, and assembling according to project requirements while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols related to welding, cutting, machining, and handling metal materials.
• Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks involving ductwork, mechanical fabrication, and metal materials to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site environments or fabrication shops involving metalworking tasks.
• Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication.
• Mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, ductwork assembly, machining processes, and soldering techniques.
• Experience working with power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, gas torches, and other fabrication equipment safely.
• Understanding of ASME codes & standards related to metal fabrication and welding practices.
• Excellent safety protocol adherence in all aspects of fabrication work.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
