Summary:  Conduct Assembly, Fabrication and Lamination inspections per ISPC

                                            

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Record non-conformances in QDD Database, report findings and FTY to Manufacturing
  • Continually observe ways to streamline and improve our processes using the Pursuit Production System
  • Assist with compliance testing, inspections and recommendations.
  • Work along with Manufacturing to reduce repeat Warranty hits and findings during inspections
  • Increase FTY
  • Is accountable for ensuring that established Quality standards and objectives are met or exceeded within his/her areas of Quality responsibility
  • Review Quality/Warranty issues and determine root cause
  • Work with MFG to present the problem & countermeasures through the CAR system
  • Complete required system checks as required in the following systems
    • AC/DC electrical equipment
    • Drainage system
    • Fresh water system
    • Waste system
    • Fuel system & fuel restriction test
    • AC/Heat
    • Propulsion system
    • Performance testing in pool or inshore
  • Other duties may be assigned.
    • Trained to use measuring devices such as ultrasound machines, wet film gauges, moisture meters, etc

 

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • General knowledge and understanding of required power tools.
  • Must be able to understand and execute top quality.
  • Must be able to pass the strength/stress test and drug/alcohol screening contingent to the hiring process.
  • Job requires standing and working in and around boats/molds throughout the entire day.
  • Must work efficiently and in the safest manner possible, following all safety regulations at all times.
  • Must be able to work at heights above four feet.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment

Employee is exposed to ambient could temperatures for short periods in the winter months and is exposed to ambient heat temperatures in summer months. Very dusty environment. Airborne particulates from cutting, drilling, grinding. Exposure to extremely sharp tooling used for cutting fiberglass.

 

Air supplied hoods are required due to dust exposure.

 

Safety glasses are required at all times.
